Posted 31 May, 2016. So then.. just had the dreaded call from the garage to say that the VRs has failed it's MOT for rear subframe corrosion. I suppose the decision now is whether to cut my losses and scrap/break it, or stump up for the work. I was told it's around four hours labour to replace everything, plus the cost of any ancillaries like CarPlay needs both a WiFi and Bluetooth connection to fully function; ensure both are enabled in the car and initiate the connection from the car not the phone. Thanks, This helped and it’s now working. The bit I was missing was even though WiFi on car was enabled the phone wasn’t picking up the car’s WiFi connection point. An incomparably better experience is offered by “ sound systems ”, which deliver better sound through a higher number of speakers. ŠKODA offers two types: the simpler one found in lower-range models is called ŠKODA Sound and is developed by the carmaker itself. For the OCTAVIA, SUPERB, SUVs and electric cars, there is the Canton sound system. Watch the video from 45 secs for one very good reason to fit a dashcam. However, insurance company have decided the accident was my fault so battle continues. One small point, accident was June 1st and car still being repaired. Skoda seem unable to supply the off side rear door poser moulding. Would I buy another Skoda? Hi guys, my Skoda Octavia IV 21 plate has been stuck on this screen for 10 minutes now I have restarted the car multiple times, turned the infotainment system on and off but it just won’t turn on. I can’t use maps, radio or anything electronic. Fitting the actual towbar and connecting the socket to the towbar prep in the boot is a doddle. If you don't have the towbar prep wiring already run in (as a option at build) then you have to remove the trim and run the wiring from the Westfalia tow control module in the boot through the car and connect to the BCM and car battery. I've done it. Its possible, there are only 4 torx screws holding each trim on, each side. On a diesel the fake exhaust tip is easier because there isn't the silencer in the way. I had to hold the bumper away from the silencer to get a screwdriver in to do it. Prepare for a few cuts too! With Bluetooth you can only start, pause and skip tracks. If you want to start a playlist, an album or just a song you gotta do it on the phone. With Mitsumi / Columbus you can do all this on the car's touchscreen and you get Album art. It's just more integrated. Whether it's of value to you is up to the individual. Agreed, but my iPhone 6+ is getting to that age now (3 years/generations old) where it's starting to feel slower and more clunky with every new iOS version that's released. And if I'm honest, it's just too big - yet I love the big screen - thus I've been wishing for an iPhone with a screen as big as the '+' variants, in a physically smaller This all used to work with my old iPhone 8. Now, when I plug my iPhone 11 into the newly cleaned USB port, using a brand new, wokrking Apple branded lightning to USB lead (£19 !!!), the phone intially starts to charge but then flicks in and out of charging rapidly for about 30 seconds before refusing to charge at all. ySCU9.
